3536: Taffy
I shouldn't jinx it, but complaining gets the grease! ...er, the squeaky wheel, I guess. So, whenever someone does something stupid, I should complain, and it won't happen again. [Specifically, I mean the letter thing I mentioned before, but I have no idea what actually happened to it and--as far as MY job goes--it's fine with me if it just went in the trash.]
I also had to call in tech support because, no surprise, the scanner stopped working even after re-installing the drivers a billion times prior to calling. [insert TV Tropes link I can't find due to search fail re: the computer breaks down until tech support is watching and breaks down again once they leave] It's exactly as Punchy said: When it works, it's wonderful, but when it doesn't, it sucks.
No, it's a little deeper than, "It's good when it's good, but it's bad when it's bad." I mean the headache when it doesn't work is almost not worth when it DOES work. Certainly, not having it wouldn't have lost us $10K [what of the $30K expired when Drama Temp didn't do her job]... ¬_¬;
I'm inclined to say... you know that commercial where the narrator says, "Your boss is a frightening man. His daughter... is attractive." --that commercial? Is that really true of all CEOs? ::T_T::

I'm just saying the shareholder visit went well, and, um... I like the eye candy =D Even if he's a pup. [Aagh, feeling old. And cougary.] Too bad people aren't like plushies and I can't collect all the cuties... but at least I have ONE hottie to squeeze ^o^
--though there was ACTUAL candy, too! Since Taffy used to sit at my current desk, her stuff's been there since February, and--after the $30K fiasco--I asked if she had the key to the desk drawer so I could see if there was any other buried treasure [actual words] XD
...I found two boxes of saltwater taffy =o which was fucking funny, considering the box they'd been eating all week XD XD XD
[not that I would eat four-month-old taffy, but... apparently they will]
