3516: Sweet Things (featuring Charlotte Martin)

L'Academie had a catered luncheon or other from Panera, which only sort of means free food. I mean sort of because I'm not the kind of mooch who will walk in and take like EIGHT OR NINE LEFTOVER SAMMICHES from what's technically someone else's company dinner out from in front of them. However, I would gladly take what was there once the people running it were all gone and the threat of disposal looms imminent.

By that point, though, someone else had taken my idea (and the sammiches) =( *whine* Asiago Roast Beeeeeeef... T_T

...but there were consolation chocolates ^^; [which I have theorized are leftover from photo shoots and, thus, why just throw it all away when it's still edible]

I brought home the catalogue that's otherwise taking up real estate on my desk and actually flipped through it, so now I can actually tell you what all the shit they leave out is! Imagine that! =o Above are the... um... geez, I have no idea what =| They're all chocolate [right] and this fruit-and-nut-filled nougat stuff [left]. They're prolly in the physical catalogue, but that thing's HEAVY AS FUCK and I don't want to look through it again, yet neither are they on the on-line version that I can see.

...so much for that =/ Also, so much for ordering whole cakes--which ARE in the catalogue... with a minimum order of 18 cakes T_T

Speaking of HEAVY AS FUCJ [typo but I'll leave it why not]:

He's not kidding, is he? =p Compare the thickness of it to @ Tavicat--which is half the price but like a tenth of the size [due to being printed in colour]. They're both an enormous 9x12" where I thought my book was already pretty large at 6x9"...

[Granted, almost all of my other webcomic books, especially, are 9x12", so it shouldn't be too surprising. I may just have manga-size on the brain, or 6x9" is really too large for a novel while 9x12" is ideal for arty stuff.]

I've also figured out Tiësto's formula:
  1. Come up with a catchy musical phrase.
  2. DRAG IT THE FUCK OUT.
  3. Maybe disguise this with a second phrase and some extra SFX/a louder bass line.
I mean, I dig "Break My Fall" and "It's Not The Things You Say", but I'm not kidding when I could splice two of his albums into one listenable one [and would, save that Roxio got mauled by iTunes and I haven't had the interest in working out the fix]. Aagh, I need a decent CD for my car! [I do have THM in there, but I hate swapping out the discs and can't listen to just one.]

foody, hangry, musicy?, booky, moochy, photoy
