3380: The City Takes Care Of It
Stonewalled again: I finally got to the bit in my editing where I threw in a bunch of Japanese because I was too lazy to make up YET ANOTHER completely new foreign language* =p and, as it is, I can't leave it in Salad Speak** because I'm better than that ¬_¬ nor can I hire a translator to make the original 20th deadline =( So... I guess 10 Feb? I'll aim for that, maybe I'll actually make it this time... -_-;
Incidentally, this is the best photo + article EVAR XD [unless some monkey changes it]
*At the moment, I have Hysterabic, what I've lazily been calling Houndspeak [a.k.a. the "common tongue"/lingua franca of Terra Firma], and what unnamed writing system they use in my yet-untitled Book 3 [though I've had three years to think of something?!]. Houndspeak is the only completely new language, though--the others are [[spoiler: mere encoding devices]] =/ --ah, there I go with WikiWords again 6_6;
** Salad Speak is what I've named the comedic use of Random Foreign Words used as a foreign language, such as how the mother in Eek the Cat! would recite from her language tapes: "Fermez la bouche. The teapot is burning my dresser. Fermez la bouche." [except... the other way around, for us English-speakers]
*** The problem is, as I've defined it, Salad Speak is identical to As Long As It Sounds Foreign =/ and, unfortunately, the subtrope of Menu Speak [primarily food words] isn't common enough to merit posting [yet--need to find more examples].

Mum brought over a Sonic t-shirt and hat for Chars, to go with the hoodie I assume =' I guess she's going for the whole ensemble, once she gets Sonic pants, shoes, and underwear @_@ ...in the meantime, I guess he can wear my Hello Kitty pants XD --annoyingly, though, I seem to have missed the window of finding good winter wear [for next year] at closeout prices. That, or it was all crap this year |=/
Otherwise, Neojank is now only $4 for the large-ass plushies =o so... XB Actually, $4/code is a reasonable price to me, so it's just a matter of having these obnoxiously large plushies that come with them. Thankfully, there's a donation box near the Rockville Target... ^^; so C doesn't have to see AWL the plushies I bought :/
Feels pretty good to put them straight in the donation bin, actually. I should do it more often ^o^
