More like "blut im Ohr," but that's what I've got. Er, that is, the predictable happened, and I ruined what I was working on as soon as I started inking--it's reparable, but not easily, so I'd sooner start over. Rather than reset immediately, I walked away and decided instead to play with some mixes, since I actually BOUGHT Dance eJay and might as well use it rather than let it gather dust FOREVAR.
After setting up my samples, though, I found it's painfully barebones, so I can't get anything that sounds good with what I have. It's not a bad interface--it just needs... dunno... smaller intervals? I don't know how to describe it. It's like there are preset blocks of time where I can drop things in, but they're arbitrary compared to what I'm trying to use--so, effectively, I have to do manual tweaks on the clips in Audacity.
Which is where I might as well brute-force the whole thing =p
So the most I've gotten between thunderstorms [which nearly washed me out on the way home] is a more-or-less "Cookie Monster"-free abbreviation of the subject line, which is otherwise cool especially because I got it LEGALLY for free off Amazon [Digital Downloads > MP3 Downloads > Free Songs & Special Deals]. I guess I can't expect diamonds from anything given away for free, but--minus the vocals--it's pretty close. I'm not the best at polishing it, unfortunately, but I can't expect to get good at something without trying, right?
Depression!
I don't really have a lot to say about these right now that isn't in the linked description for each. I did have to sketch out the rest of them I could find in advance so I could refine/ink them at work--I just don't remember them very well anymore besides the first ones I "researched" [already posted].
My brother just[!!] called and asked if I ever did any drafting--architectural, not "GO FAST IN CARZ"--but I just cringed at the notion, telling him flat out he might be better served instead being referred to someone I knew who did it.
...so, any of y'all do any drafting recently? =p I may be stuck. Luckily, he's like me and doesn't have anything ready to go YET, but I need some kind of answer if he ever gets on the ball. I'd prefer it to be "Yes, talk to So-and-So" vs. "no" flat out, but depends on y'all, I guess.
