3023: Been Caught Stealing
So here's an odd little account--not mine, unfortunately[?]:
Near Walkers Choice by Montgomery Village, one of my co-workers says on his way to work [~7:20a] he saw a couple of kids with large white plastic garbage bags, which were filled and dragging on the ground through the snow. Strange, he thought, but didn't think much else of it, especially since he couldn't describe the kids to save his life.
It was later that it occurred to him that when he got to his car, there were footprints all the way around, as though someone had tried the doors to see if they had been left open--his car and his wife's car. It was some time later that he put two and two together and says he came up with four, maybe he got five? But he called it in to the police anyway and they said the same thing--strange. There hadn't been any thefts reported [yet] when he called in, but I suppose they sent a patrol or two to check it out anyway.
Brilliant move, tho--commit crime WHILE THERE IS EVIDENCE OF WHERE YOU'VE BEEN... =p I guess they figured enough snow would fall to hide their trail? [didn't, not really]
Campus looked so nice today, and I did get a few "I don't want to look all touristy and be seen taking pictures" pictures, but I'm tired and don't feel like grabbing them off the camera now. Even after Mum and now Thomas have suffered massive computer failure =p [I have the bulk of my stuff backed up already, tho recent works-in-progrss are always going to be a concern.]
