...well, looks like I have a minute 9_9 [yeah,
it's still broke]
I thought of
three more things I've [possibly] uniquely done:
1. Had blue hair. [Though, dye didn't take too well, came off on my hat.]
2. Worn a bathing suit to my senior prom. [Photo somewhere, gotta look for it.]1
3.
Caught the bouquet. [Maybe uniquely! Half of you are guys and, thus, disqualified from it, but I'm actually curious as to how many of you gals can say "I did that!" =D heh heh]
I've also visited the new
fossil museum in Gray, but so has Chars, along with my parents--I know at least three others who could do the same, but I don't know if it would interest them enough to go... maybe I could
entice you? =3 "Hay," you ask, "that looks like inside the
gift shop,* why didn't you buy one?" Well, because it said, "L.A.M.O.: Look At Me Only"--not "buy" XD and, er, I have
enough plushies for the space we have ¬_¬; [...so I have to tell myself... [until we get that townhouse one of these years]]
*OY, the online shop is cheaper than the physical one! >:O ...though, yeah, shipping, but that large red panda's been marked up[/down?] $4!
Though I was surprised and disappointed to find half of the places in Jocy I remembered have been abandoned or replaced by a new franchise [Where have all the game stores gone...?], I did get to drop into Mr. K's for a bit--not too long, sadly, but there's always the eventual, dooming NEXT TIME. I mean, Bubble and Squeak for 80 cents? I'm all over that ^^ and it's hard to beat getting eleven books for $20!
[There's a funny story about my brother and his wanting a "Tiptoe the RatMouse" because it looks like a gerbil, my getting one for each of us, and him naming his Squeak and mine Bubble, then wondering how Pearce came up with those names. I had to explain that bubble and squeak is a boiled cabbage dish, which he didn't know. [Then again, I didn't know Presbyterianism is a form of Protestantism... so.]]
[[[Speaking of my brother, I'll post something when my father forwards the pictures he didn't remember to e-mail.]]]
The two things I know I forgot were 1. to run the dishwasher before we left [oops... but no real harm done], and 2. to give Annaleise and Chad their wedding present [card--at least it will be easy to mail, and this way I can also send a CD of the photos/videos I took], though I did give her her bachelorette party present. Beyond that, I think there wasn't anything major, or it can be what I bring/retrieve on the next trip. I do seem to find more things/more reasons to take things each time I go back, either because I find them [how archaeological!] or I discover a new reason to take them. It's neat [though an odd choice of words] finding something new each time, but I have this apocalyptic feeling I might one day have to follow in Mum's footsteps* and do a major excavation of the house, once my folks are gone/hand it over to me.
*though Thomas and Pa Mugg helped, too
That's going to be horrific... T_T I envision having to dedicate a whole month[+?] to just temporarily moving back and spending each day cleaning out a little of the house. I don't want to set out a plan just yet--my father's doing his own renovations, as part of the whole "retired and nothing else to do" bit--but it's a bit overwhelming that I returned home after two years [since my
class reunion, right?] to an even WORSE setting than before.
I mean, I love my parents, but [here's where the "pretty ways to say ugly things" bit goes, about my mother's packratism]. I actually avoided taking pictures of parts of the house, because I didn't want to show off "HAY LOOK WAHT A MESS MY MOMS MAED" to the big bad Internet. However, let's just say
no one will ever have to hunt for a pen in their house. Well, unless those get knocked into the pile, too =p I don't really get how my father puts up with the living conditions, or how I managed to grow up thinking this was NORMAL. After living with Chars, I can't stand it if there's a huge mess, especially such that there's no walkway through an area without stepping on something or knocking something over.
...actually, after housesitting for Mr. and Mrs. G, I can't stand it if there's a huge mess... >_< unless it's, like, restricted to an unwalked corner of an otherwise immaculate room, of course.
Speaking of mess, I've remembered to clean out the spam comments in my
gallery... surprisingly enough, there were 500 spam comments to the photo of
our laundry room at the first apartment =p I'm assuming because
braunian commented on the blender? I'm really not sure why they bother, it's basically just junking up my comments with offensive keywords: They can't post HTML, and there aren't any URLs listed, so all it's doing is wasting my time.
Also, something I just remembered: I mentioned the
randomized plates with WTF in them to Chars, which seems LOLable now from a "How did you not see that?" standpoint, but... Chars laughed because on the way to Bristol he saw a bulletin board for WTFM.
Having grown up with familiarity with the station, it never once occured to me that there would be anything LOLworthy about it ^^; I mean, it's like "69, dudes!" =p [having seen Bill & Ted before knowing remotely what I know now about sex]
...what, you want wedding stuff? =| I didn't figure any of y'all would really want to see/hear about that. Besides, I have all this stuff from it to sort through, I'd rather get that organized first. Throw out the junk first, as it were. I'll definitely post stuff, since Becky mentioned finding
her wedding stuff online and liking being "Googlable"--it'll just take me a bit to do, and I have a lot of catch-up work, even without going in tonight =/
