Wow, remind me never to shop at Circuit City again XB Apparently, after coming back from a huge slump, the company rewarded its hardest working staff by firing them, with miserly severance pay, because NEWBIES ARE CHEAPER.
As Pearlstein says, if they think so highly of their workers, imagine how they must feel about its patrons!
...I remember getting my first computer at our Circuit City, a crappy Compaq package deal that my father figured I would use just for typing papers and the usual college bullshit [he told the sales guy all about the computer!]. Never again, I suppose.
