Surprisingly, I joined the holiday scavengers for Boxing Day and came up with a shit ton of alkaline batteries for "fitty cent" each [per four pack]. Unsurprisingly, the four packs sold out much faster than the two packs for the same price, though I really had to hunt to find the AAAs I need for Black-Hayate [yes, even though I have rechargeables now... why the hell not].
Are rechargable AAs more popular, so people ended up buying all the AAAs for things they unexpectedly realized they needed for XYZ gift? That's all I can think of as to why I couldn't find any. I mean, I was actually surprised to find a couple of Cs left, but most of it was AAs.
Speaking of Hayate, I need to go through and clip most of the new tracks I got, because they not only have like five seconds of trailing silence, but they also have a *SNAP* of static after that, as though the next track in sequence started to play but was cut off. It's annoying, because I had my headphones on the other day to drown out certain roomies talking, and it wasn't entirely effective. [Five seconds is a LONG time in "shut up" time.]
New shredder, much better.
Edit: Hmm. Today must be Robot day at the Lab Ray. Two of my pound pets got zapped to Robot! o_O
Edit x2: You know what I just realized? I used to think Rachael [with the extra a] was the more common spelling, but somewhere along the line, Rachel became more common in my mind. I just realized, because today's
K&K is about Rachel, and because Toby's girl is Rachael.
My father being Michael might have had to do with the former notion.
