654: Get Back in Jail Free

The best thing about sushi obento is it's already made. Especially if it's just for me, I hate cooking anything.

I regularly bemoan the plastic cages I got for the gerbils, because they're crap. Jade Knight proved that again yesterday by breaking out for the third time... back in the wire X(

Lord British hasn't been as troublesome. He *did* start chewing on a ceiling piece once, by some miracle of stopping up the [note: smooth-surfaced] exercise wheel and scaling it somehow. Even so, I feel secure enough that he'll stay put at least until I find a new not-crap cage for him. Yes, there's still the sand tank, but I prefer to leave the sand in it for their sand bath time.

Boy, life with pets became twice as hard by not realizing they weren't both boys as advertised! T_T

I stayed up kinda late yesterday to hit World Market because I've had a mad craving for Jammie Dodgers lately. When I got there, though, they 1. didn't have any and 2. were sparsely staffed to where I waited for possibly fifteen minutes for someone to get to the registers. [Being in retail myself, I'm naturally hesitant to go around asking people, "Is someone available to ring up my purchases?"] I picked up an Orangeade for Chars at least, plus the vaguest thing resembling jam-in-cookies they had, but I don't think I'll be going back any decade soon.

I saw this, though:

except someone had rudely drawn on it so it looked like this:

AND HIRO IS GETTING HIS TRUNKS ON XD Even doing the Mirai thing with a sword, it looks like! [He got punched into next Monday! Literally!]

...the problem with a long-running story as with Heroes [or 24, for that matter] is trying to get someone new to start watching it in media res. The only option at this point to catch up on prior episodes is really to find BitTorrents of it somewhere... I mean, I guess that's a good enough option, but I myself rather shun the idea of getting and installing a whole bunch of new programs I don't *really* need when my computer already chugs as it is. [Do I need a faster processor? Is that what I should be looking for?]

Speaking of shows, I had watched Hagaren* only once or twice before, but I never could remember its theme song no matter how long I thought on it... the first one, not the "Ready Steady Go" that Cartoon Network's running. Oddly enough, after watching Death Note, I tried to remember its theme song and found Hagaren coming straight back, perfectly... =p Funny how that works.
*I'll distinguish the original Japanese Full Metal Alchemist as its Japanese abbreviation "Hagaren" and the English-language dub as FMAo|~Kimi no te de... kirisaite.... Tooi hi no kioku wo...
Kanashimi no... iki no ne wo tometekure yo...
Saa Ai ni kogareta mune wo tsuranuke!~|o
Speaking of DN, Light doesn't sound pretentious enough.

I have other things I should really be doing at this point, so cheerio!

hangry, jurburs, shoppy, musicy, deathnote, hagaren, heroey
