Don't know what to do now :(
Got this e-mail from the Speech and Language Therapy department at Reading this morning:
Dear Jennie,
Thank you for your email, I apologise for the delay in replying.
Because the NHS pays the tuition fees of speech and language therapy
students, and there is also a means-tested NHS Bursary, the number of
places on the BSc programme is limited. We currently have 32 funded places
each year, and received 300 applications that were received by UCAS by the
15th January deadline. At the time you emailed me, any application made via
UCAS for a place on the BSc Speech and Language Therapy would have been
considered as a late application. We are rarely able to offer places to
late applicants.
We are unable to consider you for entry if you are only offering the CACHE
qualification. However, if you apply for entry in 2010 and can make a case
based on what you have undertaken in your first year at University we would
be happy to consider your application. A reference from your tutor would
also be useful.

I'm feeling pretty upset and pissed off with it all. I e-mailed them ages ago and have only just heard back. No-where in their prospectus or online does it say my course wouldn't be accepted. It even has a section saying what won't be accepted and it only says General Studies and Key Skills. They ask for 320 UCAS Points - I have 360 just in my CACHE Diploma, and then some more for my AS Psychology. I rang them up and asked them if it was still worth applying, and they said yes. So I've now paid to put in an application, spent ages sorting it all out and getting a reference from my Uni tutor, just to get this e-mail. I'm guessing that I will soon hear back from UCAS with a rejection, although they haven't looked at it yet apparantly. I was told on the phone (last week I think) that they hadn't allocated any places yet, but this e-mail seems to suggest that they have already all been allocated. So annyoing.
I just don't know what to do now. I don't know where my life is doing, what course I should do or anything. I just feel like crying :(
