Happy belated Christmas, e'eryone.
I just finished watching Queer as Folk tbh I'd've watched the series years sooner if I knew about Gale Harold and how holy shit sexy he is. Despite my ♥ of teh gay, I loved it. My expectations were super low since I can count on one hand the number of slice of life comedy/drama, gay or otherwise, I've enjoyed for more than just superficial reasons. I liked the writing, even if it got a bit soapy/campy at some points but the characters were nicely fleshed out (lol pun intended) and it was just... really good. Surprise of surprises, I ended up totes Brian/Justin even when Justin annoyed the utter shit out of me for nearly all of the first season and from the get-go gave me no hope for future Brian/Michael. But I reckon some of the friends on it should stay just friends, their moments were sweet anyway.
Overall, I'm glad I watched it, though at first it was really, really weird to see Hal Sparks actually acting and doing a good job after thinking of him as "the shitty host of Talk Soup" for so many years.
Next on the agenda, the UK version.
So I guess this is going to be the entirety of my winter break... games and videos.
