I love this review! I was just stunned after seeing this movie. I want to write an essay but I don't want to ruin surprises for anyone!
God, everyone was amazing. I forgot they were all who they were and just saw them as the characters. I also forgot what day it was, that I had to pee, that I was tired, that I was hungry, that it was just a movie and not real life, etc. That NEVER happens to me!
I love Nolan, too. God, I love how he explores the ideas of humankind's duality like NO OTHER. AHHHH!
It was going to take a lot to come close to the level of wonderfulness that The Wind That Shakes The Barley had - by far my favourite movie of the year. But considering no one in the U.S. has seen it yet, I can understand if that doesn't make anyone's Top Ten list this year. The Prestige is easily in the #2 spot.
I do want to see it again, too. When Bowie walks across through the electricity I almost started crying.
