Because I will pretty much watch anything that any member of the Heroes cast has ever been in, and Jack Coleman told us all to check it out, I grit my teeth and took the plunge into the newest made-for-SCIFI Original. I kept switching channels to watch the concluding episode of RuPaul's Drag Race and it made for an interesting, highly entertaining mixture.
It's not quite as bad as it could be, and in some moments actually attains a state of quality. A lot of these moments have Jack Coleman in them; he's such an obviously intelligent and intuitive guy that all of the science babble he has to do, he not only makes intelligible, but also somewhat believable. That is, if you don't know much about geological magnetic properties. Unfortunately I kinda do. On the other hand, I enjoy scenes of earthquakes, car wrecks, bridge disasters, plane crashes, and general mayhem, so most of my basic needs were pretty much addressed.
