In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.
Just went to see this film and it was AWESOME. The idea is just fantastic. I had gotten so used to the idea of Vampires hiding among humans and not the other way around. And it's set in the future! (Rec me anything set in the future, I love it.) Some of it's a bit jumpy and a bit gross (blooood, etc) and a bit silly (exploding vampires!) but the story, the acting, and the idea and how all the different elements are pulled together just made this really enjoyable. I'm not a big fan of this whole "Vampire Season" but lately I've become more interested and I just found the whole concept of the film really interesting. Plus, the main character is pretty hot as a vampire, just saying. ;)
All the little futuristic things and how society has adapted to such an outbreak will make you laugh (or cry, depending on how you wanna look at it, lol!) but either way, it's quite engaging to think of something like this happening and seeing how much things could change. I think I want the DVD of this. My mind might change tomorrow but tonight I'm really liking it. Not a fan of all the gruesome parts but the rest was really cool. WATCH IT.
Btw, has my header disappeared? Damn you, imageframe! *shakes fist*
