Hey,
It is funny how defined and exaggerated the different seasons are here. I always thought they were fairly separated at home, but I suppose not... we do get snow in the winter, but it's not over the top like here...
When I arrived last Summer it was painfully hot, like 35'c and humid, then in "Fall" everything was orange and lovely for about a month. Winter was long, and bloody freezing, like -40'c in January!, with lots of snow. It was quite mad. Now it is spring and all the pretty colours are showing, but another way to separate this season from the others is by the presence of storms and tornadoes.
Yup, I have not had any real storms or concerns about tornadoes until about a month ago, and since then there have been at least four occasions where we had to watch and listen out for the tornado siren, and several really big thunder and lightning storms. It is pretty nuts!
I have not seen a tornado yet, though I have felt the strong winds that bring them. Supposedly the sky turns greeny/yellow when a tornado is actually here -oooh...
