I've arrived safe and sound

Doing a quick update while Red rests.

I had a pretty full on day yesterday getting up at 5am NZ time (3am Australian time) and flying to Sydney then rushing to the train to get to Canberra only to miss baggage check in and have to put my 17.6kg suitcase in the overhead locker thing of the train. My arm muscles are building as I type.

I survived the train journey to Canberra and made my second friend of the trip. An elderly lady who lives in Quenbeyan who couldn't cope with many things and has pretty much given up on everything except eating and drinking.
My first friend was the South African man on the plane who sat next to me and we chatted quite a lot in the flight about South Africa and NZ (for those of you who don't know - My Mum is South African, but has lived in kiwi-a-go-go-land for 35 years).

I arrived and was greeted at the train station by Red, it's all going well. I have won her Mum and brother over with my vegan cookie making and enjoy giggling and grinning with Red. Red is lovely and seems to be really enjoying the presents I brought with me.

We are off to see the Narnia Movie as Red is very keen to see it and then I will make Felafel and force Red to try an iced chocolate.

I am having a simply marvellous time and am looking forward to Shane meeting me at Central Station on Friday morning and then meeting up with Alex.
