Something's kinda been bothering me. It's about not being acknowledged. It's about me being suspicious about somebody for the right reason. It's about something that's over and done with, and while there's no feeling left I'm still a little irked. It's not that big a deal and I don't really give a rat's ass about that person anymore (as far as retarded emotions are concerned...friendship is fine, sort of, I think). It's just been on my dome lately. I'm much happier now than I ever saw myself being with said person, so I'm just gonna leave it at that and cease to give a shit.

Aside from that, our first show went off pretty well. I've decided I'm tired of watching videos of myself and hearing that I'm off key (and cringing), so I want in-ear monitors. We use those in our other band Razing Eden, and I'm still not used to them, but damn it'd be nice to have my voice right there in my ear, so I can hear the pitch better. There's nothing worse than thinking you've done a great job and then seeing otherwise on tape. Especially when there are people like me out in the crowd that would be cringing as well. Yikes.

We did have quite a stressful evening. We got there at 5 and our sound guy had important equipment locked in his trailor, to which someone else had the key. The guy was supposed to get there at 6:45 to give it to him (which was bad enough), but he didn't end up getting there until 7:30-7:45. That's only a fraction of the headaches we had getting set up. The whole event was supposed to start at 9, and we didn't finish sound checking until 9:40. And Nuclear Twins barely even got to sound check. All we got was pretty much a line check. We got sound? Good. Alright, let people in. And Phil ended up having to play sound guy for the other bands cause the guy didn't know how to use his own board, AND he was WASTED. So wasted, in fact, that he felt the need to sit down right on the stage when one of the bands was performing. Yikes again.

It was fun though, all in all, and people loved us. Luckily there weren't too many pitch-Nazis there, but if there were I'm sure they would say I was great to my face and then go talk to their friends about how Sandi Leeper can't sing live.

I wish I could buy a steak right now...I want some. I got a pork chop from work last night, and it was so delicious. I had never cooked pork before. I'd say I did quite alright.
