FirstWorld - it's on!
I am pleased to announce that I will be writing the next "wovel" (or web novel) for Underland Press. Please keep an eye on that site for details - as well as this one, of course - as they emerge.
The title is FirstWorld, and is a cyberpunk tale, set in 2036, concerning a mother's search for her extraordinary child, the amazing device (and ability) that they uniquely share, a touch of romance, and a portrait of a future world that's very much like the one we live in today - but taken to its (il)logical extreme. I hope you enjoy my first genuine foray into speculative fiction. I'm excited to be doing it, and a million thanks to Victoria Blake for approaching me with the possibility.
Sorry to everyone who had hoped I'd write another vampire novel next; don't give up hope. I still have some ideas... but this is far too good of an opportunity to pass up.
