was reading your previous post and the comments on the Dogs in mac's. Religion aside, I honestly think it's not clean to have animals in a food establishment, even if it is outdoors. Also, not all pets react well to other people, I once had this huge dog (dunno what breed but its bigger than me) come over to smell my butt. Thankfully he didnt try to do more than smell my butt! And not all owners are considerate enough to know whether they should be bringing their pets out to crowded food establishments. I'd really rather have a pet free dining.

I would agree if it were an indoor eating establishment but in this case, the food is prepared and served indoors, and you bring it out to eat. So for those people with concerns about dogs around eating areas can just eat inside.
I do know what you mean about pets reacting well to other people and yes the biggest problem would be idiot owners who don't know how to control or restrain their overly excited pets. All too often the poor animals are the ones blamed for doing what they do naturally when it should be the stupid owners who should be blamed instead.
In any case, I am fine with people asking for dogs and pets to be banned due to hygiene issues or restraint, noise abatement reasons, etc. But this woman asked for dogs to be banned solely because she thought her religion forbade her to allow dogs to touch her, when it is a public place for people of all religions to congregate.
