C and I went to watch
The Magic Fundoshi yesterday at the new National Library.
Fundoshi is "a saucy comedy made up of three parables poking fun at human frailties and our fleshly instincts", and it was supposed to have won the London Sunday Times' Best Comedy Award, but honestly I don't really see how. C didn't really like it very much, and although I didn't find it that mediocre, I wasn't particularly impressed nor jollified either. But still, it was rather comical watching the silhouettes in the first tale, and the wild goose chase in the last. Honestly, I felt last year's Boeing Boeing was actually much better.
I guess the best part of the night was actually Glen Goei's opening address, and his 'little red light' method of self-censorship!
Well, I must say that the new National Library is beautiful, and I must say Emma Yong is very brave-after the show, everyone was talking about her boobs. Now I know what they meant by "a special appearance"!
