Been offered a job at the Division location, straightaway, without the second interview they said they usually do. I'm doing a happy jig here indeed! I did tell them that I would still go to my interview with the Stark location and if they offered me a job, I would probably go there instead of Division. It's more convenient for me, and besides, that is my HOOD.
But the point is that I have a job one way or the other, and a job that I think and hope will be very very good for me. I'll get to be around plants and people who like plants. I'll get to learn the trade of growing things and how to make it work for me. I can't think of anything that will make me happier than to be surrounded by growing things all day and get paid for it.
I just hope I'm as good at it as I think I will be and can stay on after spring/summer.
... I'm not even gonna have to dip into my savings! Well, maybe a little before first payday. But still! None of the horrid "oh god I'm out of money and I need it" stress and none of the crushing unemployment depression and not even a tarnish of "I'll take what I can get! Any job just please pay me to do something!" on this job offer. I WANT to do this. This is the job I WANT to be doing, or at least a very important step on the path toward the job I want to be doing. And that, my friends, is amazing.
