I fixed my computer! That was a harrowing hour or so. It's never a good feeling to see the words "Windows has failed to boot" in white-on-black on your computer screen. But I fixed it! With the help of some online tech support and Ben's computer, I now have a startup recovery disc on hand should this ever happen again, and I'm looking at ways to back up the important shit.
In other news, I'm fully re-situated at my mom's house now. Well. More or less. I've still got some boxes hanging around that I'm SURE could go to my dad's - he said he had a bit of space for things, more than my mom has anyway. But Mum seems reticent to move things again, even though two of the three boxes I'd like to store over there are still in her car anyway. Sigh.
Whatevs, I suppose.
And I've started my internship. It's not bad. Good to be at the zoo on a regular basis. Mary Jo's kindof a hardass, but I'll get used to that. And the other lab people are pretty cool. I dunno, I haven't quite found my niche there yet. But tomorrow we're waking up the silverspot caterpillars. And then the real fun begins.
The radio station they play is almost 100% music from, like, 1998-2002. And the music I was listening to around then too (when I wasn't listening to Queen). But not really in a good way. It almost makes me kindof uncomfortable, and I can't really pinpoint why.
