Well today has been eventful.
Went to the zoo to a) have lunch with my dad, and b) (perhaps more importantly, really) set up my internship. Got my uniform shirts, a name tag, and my very own security code for the doors. Woot woot! I also filled out a general application for their customer service, on the off chance that they get an opening in the next week or two.
Then I headed back toward Forest Grove, and stopped by Freddie's for a quick food run. I should really know better than to go in the doors by the clothes. I heard the siren call of cute skirts and new bras, and things were on sale! So I came out with two new bras (more or less just like my old one, but not trashed to shit, and I have TWO of them! amazing!), a pair of shorts, a cute flouncy skirt, and new sandals. Bras, I've needed for like a year, and they were buy-one-get-one-half-off. It's been YEARS since I had a new pair of shorts that weren't cutoff jeans, and my old sandals were about three summers past dead. So really the only real splurge was the skirt, but it's cute and flouncy and has pockets and tie-dye and I've been saying I need more just-above-the-knee skirts. So hey. It was also the least expensive of the clothing items.
End justification for perfectly legitimate clothes purchasing. I so rarely buy clothes and I get so much clothing for free, it feels like a splurge to spend any money on it at all. Especially buying clothes NEW. I mean, I think the last time I did that was like... two years ago. o.o
On the bus back from Freddie's some guy tried to walk in front of the bus. On purpose. Or rather he stood in front of the bus and yelled for the driver to run him over. That was interesting.
Now I'm making food and attempting to study for bio.
