Grrrrrr.
Intensity: 7.5 ETA: crept up to a 9 by 10 o'clock. (Felt like I was gonna fall over, puke, and die every time I got out of bed.)
Duration/time of day: This feels like a continuation of the little mini-headache that kicked up right as bedtime rolled around last night. At any rate, I woke up with it, and it feels persistent.
Description/possible causes: Filling the left side of my head, sort of throbbing. Goes away for a few seconds now and again, just to taunt me, I'm sure, and then returns. Could be sleep deprivation, could be tension, could have slept wrong on that side.
Methods of alleviation: Drinking coffee right now, will also take a generi-prophen and try to relax. ETA: Generi-prophen did nothing at all. Barely waved a feather at it. Took a Maxalt, which worked, but I still felt groggy and out of it all day. I'm guessing sleep problems.
Dreamed last night that Sylvia was leaving for Ireland in the morning, and came to visit me. Redge came with, and we all kinda hung around in my dorm, then went to LaurelhurstMu Park (like that's within walking distance) and hung around there for a while. (Though it looked more like the cemetery on Stark than Laurelhurst.) At one point I wandered off and was gonna go to see Sarah, but I wound up on 79th and Burnside and was like "woah, how'd that happen". By the time I got back to my dorm, Redge and Sylvia had left, but there were a bunch of little woodland creatures hanging around instead.
Urgh. I did not spend last night very productively. There's this sort of scavenger hunt going on at Pacific - well, not really. They've hidden a medallion somewhere on campus and they're releasing clues as to where it is. Anyway, Irisa and I spent a couple hours last night looking for it. Right after Sonali had sent me the lab data that I probably ought to have been putting into Excel. In fact, that's probably what I ought to be doing now.
Anyway, it was fun, but now I'm in pain and annoyed and don't really want to do anything except go back to sleep and hope to numinous excrement this headache goes away.
In other news, there's something of a battle of the thermostat going on in my dorm. I mean, we all have our own thermostats for our rooms, thank goodness, but they like to crank the one in the kitchen/living room up to almost 80 and leave it there. All night. I wonder if basic temperature preference is a reason to request no Hawaiian roommates next term?
