Although it's been said, many times, many ways, Merry Christmas to you....
You know, I actually rather like this whole Christmas-in-town thing. There's something to be said for tradition, but this year, I got to spend time with the people I really am closest to. Christmas eve and morning with my dad, then Christmas day with my mum and Ben, and then over to Sarah's house for Christmas dinner, and may I just say that Trimet was a life-saver the whole day.
The downside is, I felt like shite when I woke up Christmas morning. My head felt like a block of stone, if stone had sinuses that could get clogged and a throat down which post-nasal could drip. XP Cold for Christmas, thanks Santa.
Christmas is far from over yet. Tomorrow, there will be traditional Grandma's house celebrations, followed by dinner with Sir and Lady, and my Sissy. Then my dad's "Boxing day" brunch on Sunday, and then a few days to rest up before the New Year's party. Christmas really does, for me and my family, last from the solstice to the new year. 12 days of Christmas indeed.
And now, I will immerse myself in the first of many books I have received, Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever (book 1 of 3).
