So I found out yesterday that the awesome-cool math teacher I found at PCC won't be teaching the next-level-up classes I need next year. This revelation has forced me to rethink whether or not I would be ok with not getting into Evergreen this fall.

Ross is the best math teacher I have ever had. Excited. Personable. *Wants* you to understand, wants you to *get it*. He connects math to the broader world of science and How the World Works, even if only subliminally. And his teaching style meshes so well with how I learn style, which seems to be drastically different in math than some other areas. Explanation - example - example - detail - example - practice - "Who has questions?" - moving on. And suddenly I get it.

But this will be my last term with him. I really wish I'd found him for math 60 in fall. ::sigh:: But whatever.

It doesn't hurt either that he's cute and gay. Yeah, I'm a little in love with my math teacher.

::sigh:: So anyway. I'm gonna call Evergreen on Monday and see if I can't arrange an interview, and perhaps some leeway on the language point. Today I'm gonna get my letters of recommendation sent out - which I thought I did, but I guess I have to send them snail mail. I also need to go to the library and study factoring for Monday, because somewhere along the line it got lost in the murk.

But I think I know why spring term can be difficult. There's beautiful blue sky outside my window, and sunshine, and the moment I step out my door I'll smell growing things and greenery. That's not conducive to studying.

::sigh:: Cest la vie.

to do list, school
