Something in the Shop on Belmont smells overwhelmingly of garlic. ::is confused::
I HAZ A BUCKET! A CityBikes bucket. It's on my bike. I may have to do some rearranging, because at present the foldable basket is on the right side (i.e., the side where cars usually aren't), and now that I haz a bucket, it'll probably be used more than the foldable basket. So I should put ze basket on the other side. Ha! Ph33r my logik.
The people at CityBikes were being a bit jerkish to me. I'm not sure if it's because I smell (I admit, I haven't showered much recently, but really, they have to have dealt with smelly biker hippies before) or what, but it took them FOREVER to even look me in the eye. And they didn't seem too busy either. Like, I saw about five of them wondering around doing tasks that easily could have waited the two minutes it took to ring me up. In the end, I had to wait for someone else to pay for something, and then stand RIGHT behind them so that if the girl walked away it would have been blatantly rude. WTF? I've always had good service from them before. What's wrong with me today that wasn't wrong last week?
... Ok, so maybe I should just take a shower. Maybe I'll bother Emily for the use of her shower before the party. I'm sure my fellow partiers will thank me if I do.
In other news, I HAZ A BUCKET!! NO STEAL MAH BUCKET!
ETA: Also what I did yesterday: PILLOWFIGHT!! DAMN, it was fun. A whole bunch of crazies from around Portland gathered together - supposedly in Pioneer Courthouse Square, but for one reason or another the cops were disapproving, so we snuck under the radar over to O'Bryant square. And had about an hour of pillow-smashing meele awesome FUN. At one point I was in serious danger of passing out; it takes a surprising amount of energy to smack people with pillows. But it was hilarious. It was funny to see how many people there I knew by sight, if not by name. Just sort of the usual Portland-area weirdos.
I pushed my bike trip back a day. I'll be leaving Sunday instead of Saturday, for two reasons: One, I can get everything I need to do done on Saturday without worrying about leaving early enough. Two, I can go to Emma and Ana's birthday party. Which means I just might be biking slightly hungover. Ah well.
