I have a mattress burn on my elbow.

So. For those of you interested in such things, I found a really awesome Spock/Kirk video on youtube, to the song Closer by Nine Inch Nails. I went to download the song on Limewire, only to discover that Limewire has completely failed anymore. So I did a search in my iTunes to see if I just happened to have it - and surprise surprise, it IS one of the three Nine Inch Nails songs I have, labeled "Trak 5." I love it when that sort of thing happens.

Mmm, sweaty.

I'm really racking up the geek points this week. I think I earn two every time I re-watch The Corbomite Maneuver. I'm going to rent all of Classic Trek in order over the next several weeks* - two episodes at a time, because that's the only way to get them, ain't that stupid? Right now I'm waiting for volume 2 to get in.

It was CRAZYGONUTS busy at the cafe yesterday. Rose Festival. -_- The upside of that being that I got about $30 in tips. I put it all on my guitar. I think I'm gonna do that with good-tip days. I need pocket money, but not that much. Substantial monies should go to big things, like guitars.

I can't wait. I have $84 left.

That said, I'm REALLY glad I didn't have to go to work today.

Iced chai is the perfect drink for right now. But I have allergies of some kind, definitely - my eyes are all itchy.

I had to slice red onions yesterday. It was PAINFUL. I felt ill and my whole face was stinging, and I had to keep washing my hands and wiping my eyes with a wet paper towel (a whole different brand of ow, but less painful than the onions by far) and running back and forth to ice cream. I rather enjoy running ice cream. It's like being back at the zoo, only better. And I get all these classic children pressing their noses (quite literally) against the glass and ogling the variety of flavors. I've even got the hang of the milkshake mixer thing, which took a while.

... I'm gonna go see if any good Kirk/Spock has survived through the ages.

PS: I started actually writing some Kirk/Spock. But really, the pon fahr plot device has to be THE most overused plot device in the history of fanfiction.

*At least, until I run out of interest.
