(no subject)
I knew it was a bad idea to save all of AC's Highlander fanfic to my computer. I wrote 2000 words today, but they were all of Highlander fanfiction of my own. You might see that story at some point if I ever get it to the point where it's presentable.
And now I'm listening to my Richie/Methos soundtrack, and realizing that I left some holes. I need the song Old Man, by Neil Young, for more than just this soundtrack, just cos it's an awesome song. It needs to represent Phaedrus, even though it's actually from the fic that takes place right after Phaedrus, while Richie's on the plane going back to Seacouver. Phaedrus doesn't really have a song connected to it, and this works just as well. If I can have Do That To Me One More Time connected to Star of Inanna instead of Let's Get It On, then I'll do it.
And yes I realize that that probably made no sense to any of you, except Mikayla, maybe. If it did, please inform me, because I need more people to discuss AC's fanfic with.

In related news, my PS2 won't play the disc with Methusela's Gift and Through a Glass Darkly on it. ::major sadface:: Those are like, two of the best episodes EVER. Aside from Chivalry. And Timeless. And the Messenger, and Methos, and Comes a Horseman/Revelations 6:8, and... yeah, I love this show. I need to make a list of my favorite episodes, at least so that I can have a list of "these are the episodes you need to see" for next summer when I finally show Sarah the show that shaped me as a ten year old. I have a sinking sensation that it won't quite hit her as well as it did me - watching it now, there is a lot of cheesey crap and some of it (a lot of it) could have been written better... but it's one of those shows where you can ignore a lot of that because there is a heart and soul to it and some sort of chemistry that just works, beyond petty surface polishes like perfect dialogue. It's much like the fanfiction that follows it, really. I figured out the other day that if you take just the essential timeline, there is enough AC fanfiction to a) fill out the missing four episodes in season 5 (for some reason there's only 18) and then add another 3 seasons *at least,* probably more like 4 or 5. So basically, enough to double back over the entire run of the show (as recognized by the Clan Denial). Drastically different... but that's what's supposed to happen, isn't it? Things change and morph and grow and evolve...
I fucking love the song Grace to Grace. I should get some more Geddy Lee.
In completely non-Highlander news, I still itch in the bad place and I'm out of cat litter.
