I'm making chicken!
I defrosted it for a little too long - it started to cook around the edges. Whoops. And I'm using past-their-prime veggies, becuase I haven't cooked for real in a long time and I still had stuff left over. They're not totally gone to ew yet, I cut off the mushy bits.
Ah well. I'm poor, we're supposed to eat like that. Besides which, David Sedaris grew up on past-their-prime vegetables, and he's perfectly awesome.
I put basil and curry on the chicken, then browned it and the onions (I can't stand undercooked onions, so if I go in the opposite direction, excuse me) and plopped it in the roasting pan (which is actually a cake pan, but it was all we could find at Fred Meyer) with the peppers and potatoes. And the onions. We'll see how it turns out. Smells delicious......
In other news, I requested catalogue stuff from Rockport College. Good times.
And, I saw Dead Man's Chest for a third time last night, with Sarah. We took along cokes and my pirate flask full of rum. Take a wild guess what we did. It was de freaking yummy. And it made the movie even more enjoyable. I enjoy pirate movies while tipsy - makes me feel like I'm participating.
There should totally be a Pirates of the Carribean drinking game. There probably is.
Dammit. I should have timed the laundry and the dinner better. My chicken is at the delicate stage where it needs to be poked every so often, but my laundry needs to come out of the dryer. ::sigh:: Mommy, poke my chicken for me!
... Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought that sounded dirty.
