Happy 4th of July everyone! I'm house sitting for my parents at the moment while they are on vacation with my nephew in Boston, Rhode Island and New York. They are taking him to a Yankees game! YUCK! It's so HOT outside, but I hear storms may be coming. I'm going to my grandma's and papa's later this afternoon. She's making chicken and ribs out on the grill, corn on the cob and macaroni salad and best of all...strawberry ice cream pie! That is my favorite and I have been asking her to make it for me! I might have some chicken. Since I have given up eating mammals, I will eat chicken and turkey for now, until I get used to the whole vegetarian lifestyle and am able to cut out all meat, but for now, I'm slowly easing my way into it. I've never eaten pork, so really I've just given up beef. It has totally changed my life the way I think about things. It's always disgusted me, and the main thing for me is not for health reasons, but rather the whole cruelty to animals thing. I am a member and have been for a long time to all of the animal rights organizations, but when you grow up into a family where all everyone eats is meat and potatoes, it's the only thing you know. It hasn't been too difficult so far, my mother is a vegetarian so she's helped me out, but my problem is going to be trying to widen my food varieties. I don't like seafood, so that's one strike there! I'm trying though, really.
I saw my Dave on Tuesday night. Yes, I'm talking about Dave Matthews Band. He looked sexy as ever and sounded even better than the last concert. There were so many people, but I had pavilion seats, center stage, and it was so amazing. He has been my favorite for over 10 years now. He puts on one hell of a show. Any Dave fans who've seen him know what I'm talking about.
I'll have to post some new pics which I'll do from work, so you guys can see my baby. I've got a golden retriever, Rio who's a little over 6 months old now and over 60 pounds already! Yes, he's going to be a big boy, but he's so damn sweet and cute. Wait until you see him.
Well, I'm going to go running now so I can get home, get a shower, clean house and get to my grandma's. It's good to be back. Talk to you all soon!
