Thank you! :D That's exactly what I was going for -- speed and maintaining a facade for the audience -- and I'm really glad it worked for you.

I don't think so, at least not for real? I've not heard of one. But it seems doable, really -- it's like a Disneyland version of paintball, but with the electronic things like in laser tag or fencing. (Although I suppose the accident insurance premiums would be really high? But I think it'd be worth at least doing a cost study on.)

The sharks were probably the hardest single bit of description (or, at any rate, I think I managed much better with the employees' padding in this draft than the last, but I did not manage to fix everything I felt was wrong with how I was committing the sharks to "paper"). What I had in mind was a medically-trained swimmer inside a metal exoskeleton that's designed to look like a shark, but contains a first-aid kit, one of those floaty lifeguard thingies (in case someone who can't swim falls into the river and can't touch the bottom), and a way to activate a small motor in the shark that propels them through the water -- so as to be able to quickly reach the ladder in the event of an emergency on shore, or to quickly reach someone who falls in at an unexpected location. The shark itself is fitted with floats, too, so the swimmer can propel it by hand if they don't mind the drag or are just hanging out looking shark-like and hoping it's a nice, boring day at work. So, essentially, it amounts to a very loose, easily removable costume with storage space. And then the swimmer (also called a "shark" by the skeleton crew, though I imagine they're supposed to be called Emergency Medical Personnel or something equally long) has first-aid training, lifeguard training, and a waterproof radio to call other sharks or the central medical station for help.

Thank you! :D
