IRL: Stop Watching Us

Jun 23, 2013 03:16

From StopWatching.Us, a petition being circulated by Mozilla on behalf of Fight for the Future:

The revelations about the National Security Agency's surveillance apparatus, if true, represent a stunning abuse of our basic rights. We demand the U.S. Congress reveal the full extent of the NSA's spying programs.

It goes on to present a letter to the US Congress which essentially demands that the surveillance stop and that Congress bring the Patriot Act and the NSA back in line with the Constitution. There's speculation as to whether it will work or not, but if nothing else, it does remind Congress that we're watching them too. :)

Check it out here -- if you want to send the email, there's a space to fill in your email address.
