lechon

I have nothing to blog. Could I be more boring?

Well, hmm, okay. It was incredibly humid in Ozamiz. Sweat literally rolled off our bodies and plopped down to the ground. I felt sticky everyday. I must have showered thrice a day. Wait. I did shower thrice a day when we were there. THank goodness there was aircon in my grandparents' house.

Oh, Bisaya lechon is effing amazing. It's so tasty on its own. It doesn't need lechon sauce. At all. There was lemongrass, and peppers, and all sorts of fragrant herbs and spices inside that pig that it just seeped in into the meat and the skin making it into this superb piece of perfection. The skin was crispy as hell, and there wasn't much fat--my uncle Dodong said it's because they "liposuck" the fat out of the lechon before cooking. Hahaha, okay not like that so much but there is a process that sort of drains the fat off. It's even better than Cebu lechon. Shet, sana magka-airport na uli ang ozamiz so we can have their lechon delivered for the annual new year's reunion instead of the cebu kind.

Oh look, see, I blogged about lechon.
