a day in the park
a day in the park is great!!!! surrounded by nothing but luscious greenery, fresh air and birds chirping away (although some were quite high pitch and irritating), it's a great and healthy way to spend your weekends!
and it was good that it wasn't too hot nor crowded and i was quite happy that i covered almost all of the exhibits. a little bit of sun and time away from the laptop (i.e. away from work, away from msn, away from fb, away from youtube....lol) is definitely good for the tired soul....
however i think birds at the park are a bit more ke lian than the animals at the zoo...coz most of them are caged up and hardly have space to go anywhere....the exhibit that really hit me most is actually the penguin exhibit coz it reminds me of 'happy feet'....such parks are extremely contradicting...on one hand we want these parks to exist so that kids that grow up in the city know about these animals and birds but on another hand, we trap them in such small, confine space that goes against their natural environment...hmmmm....
anyway, next stop: night safari, anyone interested? =)
