long day
so yesterday i went with jenny to her apartment in davis to help her paint. we first got there around 10 or so in the morning and had a look around. then we stopped by uc davis so that she could fill out some paperwork for her internship. meagen called us and arrived earlier than we expected at the apartment, so we tried to hurry up.
after prepping the room for painting (taping up the molding, laying out the tarp...etc...) we finally started at noon. we did 2 walls blue, and a wall green before taking a break at 2 for lunch. drove downtown to the posh bagel and i got a yummy turkey avocado melt (i recommend it :)). then meg had to go back home for work so jenny i headed back over to her apartment. on the way back we stopped by my grandparents old house and what a coincidence! it is soooo close to jenny's place! that would've been cool if they still lived there.
so jenny and i painted the last wall yellow, and then had to keep going around filling in the corners that we couldn't get with the rollers and what not. finally finished around 6:30 or so with cleaning up and left at 7 something. made a quick stop at jamba juice and i actually got a drink besides banana berry (i got strawberry wild). i think it might be my new favorite :).
got home and didn't feel like moving anymore. xian came by and we played gin (rummy...gin rummy... i don't know what version we play). watched tv for a bit and then i went to bed.
got at 10 and spent the rest of the morning doing laundry. guess i'll finish reading my book now.
