Duh.
Sorry. Pleased with myself. I painted two butterflies that almost don't suck at all. And then I found the hammer, hiding between stacks of poetry books (mostly Robert Kroetsch, with an anthology thrown in for good measure) on top of my microwave coffee table, and I put them up! The butterflies, not the poetry books. Although that is another thought.
Historically speaking, my walls have always been bare. Cuz I can't handle the pressure of figuring out where things should go. This is working for me, because it's completely. fucking. random. I can do random. It's kinda starting to look like a fairy threw up on my wall, but I'm good with that. If I knew how to post pictures on LJ, I would show you. Probably better that I don't, though, because the reality couldn't possibly live up to that description, and you'd just be disappointed.
I still reallyreallyreally want to paint words right on the wall, though. It's going to happen soon, I think. Which is sad, cuz I have a feeling I am moving, with this whole building being sold thing, plus the former neighbour with an apartment that might need filling.
Elsewhere, downloading all kinds of happymaking music of varying merit, but all full of pleasure. Much loved Jesus Jones playing now:
But wait! First, surf over to this link:
http://bloggingpoet.squarespace.com/bloggingpoetcom/voting-begins-for-for-the-2011-poet-laureate-of-the-blogosph.html, check out all the other cool poetry links, and more importantly, vote for Super Awesome RM, more popularly known as Rob Mclennan.
Oh, and one more thing. I am feeling guilty for not reporting that my sweet Hippy Poet came over on sunday night, and made me feel significantly better about Life, The Universe, and Everything. Keeping details for my own self, cuz. He is very gift-y. We like him. (by which I mean me and you, peeps!)
All right. Did you vote for RM yet? Please? GO! You didn't really want to watch my Jesus Jones links, anyway.
