there is a perverted spirit that slinks
around school and distorts and misdirects
everyone's hearts
i feel indirectly yet directly oppressed
within my heart
when the guys slice and dice the girls
that strip
right away i feel an ickiness invade my space
and it's not an ickiness of
right or wrong
it's a perverse distorted funk
that tries to press itself on me
as if it's humping my heart
earnestly begging my heart to believe
that casual sex is filling
and if i'm too busy for that

i feel cheapened like the butt of a joke
and i can't tell if my friends really believe
what they're saying or if it's
all that they know

but i don't think it's wrong to place
amazingly greater expectations on all of us
considering the fact that
the value of one of us is worth so much more
