while i respect your opinion and it's not in me to start a debate or impose my views upon you, i'd just like to comment on two things that caught my attention:
- "There's something wrong with bringing a life into a world where a life cannot be provided". Leaving the case of rape aside, I do believe one should be responsible for one's actions. If a person thinks he/she is mature enough to start sexual activity- he or she must be aware of the potential consequences of it (pregnancy is an obvious one) and face them. This is the 21st century, sex education and contraception are available to people.
My point is, if you can't bring a life into this world, then take the measures to avoid bringing it. choose to not get pregnant, but don't choose killing someone (specially for selfish reasons- which i'm not naming, by the way). We have a right to make decisions for ourselves, but can we really decide for someone else who hasn't been given the right to be heard or can defend himself?
our rights aren't absolute, people should know that.
killing is never the option- be it a woman doing it to an unwanted child, a man to someone who has opposite points of view, or the state.
