(no subject)
Well, today has been an awesome day! Today I didn't go to school cause I kept coughing and I didn't want to go to school coughing and then get sent home. So, I went over to Alicia's house and we just hung out, then we went to go pick up our paychecks. Well, we went there early like we usually do but they told us we couldn't pick it up til 4:00pm.. so we were really pissed. So, we went and decided to go home and wait 'til 4:00pm to get our stupid check.. but then she called her brother who works at one of the casinos across the river. Well, it turns out that they were hiring for a whole bunch of shifts at a lot of places so we decided to give it a try and apply there. We filled out our application, got an interview that same day without even waiting or anything, and we got hired! Holy shit.. it's soo sweet. But since I don't have a health card, I had to get one, I could get it in Laughlin (which is across the river from here) but they only do the health cards every Wednesdays.. I could have went today, but I didn't have the money (because the stupid work wouldn't give me my check early) and it was also in Spanish. So, Alicia and I are on our way home when she says we can go to Vegas and get my health card. I was all for it, except I didn't have the money to get my health card today cause I didn't have money! So, I got annoyed with that, but I looked at my hire packet and they said that Vegas is Monday thru Friday so I was like telling Alicia we could go tomorrow. So, she called Vince (her xbf) and told him we were going to Vegas tomorrow to get my health card and he offered to take us out to dinner, too! So, tomorrow Alicia and I are going to Vegas! And we don't have to work at the fucking day care anymore so I'm excited about that! Anyway.. I went to school on Monday cause I had to get CPR and First Aid certified.. but I haven't been to school since. I probably won't go to school tomorrow cause I have to go get my health card and I won't go on Friday cause, well, it's Friday! And I'm going to school on Monday cause I'm going to pick up my table. And on Tuesday and Wednesday I'm going to orientation with Alicia. And on Thursday I'm going to school, but then on Friday I'll probably be starting my first day at work! I'll be working at a casino doing bussing. I swore to myself I was never going to work in food after working for my dad for so many years. But, I need to have money and I also think it'll be awesome to have tips every day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and I'll be able to drive to school everyday cause I'll have gas money! So, I'm really excited about that! Not to mention, I don't have to work with so much estrogen anymore. At the day care there are like no guys but the boys in the day care. So, it'll be great to work in the casino. They said it'll be busy and all that stuff, but that is great cause I'll be making a lot of money in tips! So today is a very good day so far!
