My manager, Amanda, sounds more and more like Will every time I work. If I recall correctly, this is an excerpt of our conversation:
Amanda - "Woman, are you done yet?"
Janelle - "Yes...God, you're starting to sound like Will."
Amanda - "What the hell does that mean?"
Janelle - "'Woman!' He says that all the time."
Amanda - "That's an insult!!!"
Janelle - (Laughing) "Why's that?"
Amanda - "You're saying I sound like a gay guy!"
Janelle - "What's your problem with gay people?"
Amanda - "Nothing, but Will sounds like a girl, and people say I sound like a guy -"
Janelle - (Interupts) "So you want to sound like a guy?"
Amanda - (Monster glare)
It was funnier if you were there. She thinks I'm so ditzy, it's quite comical. Actually, I think she may have a point...I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, if you know what I mean. Book smarts, yeah, but my common sense (and hearing) is REALLY lacking.
