Instead of always thinking about how I should post on lj I think I might actually go out and do so. I read a lot of your journals but I feel disconnected from actually participating in the big bad internet.

Since I know that blogs are probably very interesting to most of you, as they are to me, I thought I'd share a few that have been particularly interesting to me lately, in case you want to go out and read about other people's lives that aren't your own (my favorite thing.) since i bascially sit on the couch watching how i met your mother reruns all night, i like reading about people who go out and do heroic things and then post pictures of it.

1. livesayhaiti.blogspot.com/  -   I started reading this blog about a month or so ago and I thought it was super interesting. It's a big family from america that went to go live in haiti a few years ago to take care of people and basically do lots of good things. and then, of course, there was that big earthquake, and now they are doing the most amazing things, setting up hospitals in their yard with their friends and performing surgeries and saving thousands of people's lives. it's really interesting, i donated twenty bucks to them even though i'm fairly poor.

2. kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/   -  this is another one of my favorites. it's about this 21 year old girl who decided a few years ago to move to uganda and help people. now she has, all by herself, opened schools and did tons of medical procedures and started and ran programs that give food and education to literally thousands of people. she adopted 14 children and she is just the cutest thing ever. this blog has a ton of jesus in it, but if you don't mind that, she takes adorable pictures and is one of the most amazing people.

3. www.janisjourney.org   -  this one is written by the dad of a 7 year old girl who has really severe schizophrenia and quit his job as a college professor to take care of her full-time. it's really well-written and this girl is just super fascinating.

so that is what my time has been going on the internet instead of livejournal. i teach special ed during the day and then go home and read entire blogs from start to finish. hobbies, whatever. i chose these three because i think that they should be shared with you, lj friends. if you want, you can tell me other things that you like to read online as well.

later gators.
