obviously everyone is talking about the election.
after leaving new paltz, it's really a test of tolerance to actually be surrounded by people who DON'T agree with me. and it's so strange that people who i thought were intelligent and rational are making these ridiculous statements.
bucketsofcool: like my coworker asking me if i was going to be wearing my terrorist turban and waving my commie flag
famex90: tell them that next time they get knocked up and have to have another kid and go on welfare, remember who they voted for
famex90: um
famex90: you have a way more even temper than i do
famex90: i would not take that
famex90: that's the most ignorant shit i've ever heard
bucketsofcool: i think it's so weird since these ARE poor women who NEED help with that who are at the same time saying OH MAN OBAMAS A TERRORIST AND HE'S GOING TO TAKE MY MONEY TO GIVE TO LAZY PEOPLE AND HE'S FRIENDS WITH BIN LADEN DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT
famex90: that's because they're fucking ignorant
bucketsofcool: "we won't need a war on terrorism since the terrorist will be right here in the white house" and "oh if he wins then we can all worship the koran" were what made me so fucking mad
famex90: he's NOT MUSLIM
famex90: he is also HALF WHITE
bucketsofcool: when i say that they're all, his middle name is hussein, do your research and i'm like I AM THE MOST EDUCATED PERSON HERE SHUT UP
we had an election in class though and the kindergarten kids all talked about what they thought made a good leader, and what a president needs to do, and their little opinions on the candidates based on activities we have done and their parents' beliefs. obama won in class by an absolute landslide. obviously i hope that my little five year old microcosm of society will come true.
