Yesterday I went hiking with Mark all the way to the top of Little Mount Si. It took us about 2 hours up and maybe 1 and a half back down. The top was awesome, and then you look over and there's Big Mount Si towering over twice as high. We're gonna have to hike that one someday, probably take like 4 hours up.
Zach called while we were hiking, he said he'll be moving out here soon too. That'll be cool, another friend out here to go out and expirience the things on the West Coast. This girl Emily is out here for the week visiting her boyfriend's parents- I havent seen her in a few years, and she's pretty surprised to see I actually did just get up and move far away. We'll probably hang out sometime next week, that'll be nice.
After hiking we hung out with my room mate and went to see the Chittenden Locks which were pretty cool, they make a pathway for boats but keep the saltwater and freshwater from mixing. We watched some boats go through and checked out the "fish ladder" which had a whole ton of salmon swimming through it, they were huge! So cool to watch them swimming against the current, it takes so much effort they're just one big muscle shaking. We went for dinner somewhere in the Queen Anne district and just out of shear luck the place we picked had karaoke. Me and Cyndi sang some songs, it was a lot of fun.
Here's a picture of me and Mark near the Locks- Check it out Kate, a Giant Spiral Garden!
