Halloween Can Drive
hEY Guys!
So some updates. Today a few of us showed up to hand out the flyers, so thank you so much to those who showed up! I guess I should have copied more, I had no idea we would run out so soon.
Before the can drive we will all meet at Templeton secondary at 6pm. If you will be running late or will be getting there later just give me or Jen a call (778 896 3835; 604 780 5662 respectively)
You will be paired up with someone and will be given a street/area to collect cans from. Oh yes, very importantly please wear your badge and probably a costume (get in the spirit and you may get candy!)
Here's a template (which you are free to change somewhat) of what you should probably say:
"Trick-Or-Can (optional...)! Hi there, we are part of the Templeton New Century Lions club. Do you have any canned foods or non-perishable food items to donate? We will be gathering these food donations for the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre."
So far those attending are: Jen, George, Cindy, Louise, Michelle, Caroline, Miranda, Borching, Peter, Patricia, Winnie (after 7pm), Matt (maybe), Kevin (maybe), my sister & company, am I missing anyone else?
If you are not supposed to be on the list, please let me know. and If you see "maybe" beside your name, please confirm with me asap.

So just a few things...
What time can you guys make it to Temp? Is 6 too early?
I know you don't have badges, so you can just say you're helping the Templeton Lions Club collect food donations for the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre. Here's their website if you wanna learn a little more about it: http://www.dewc.ca/
We will hopefully have 2 cars driving around to collect the cans from people to help lighten their load, cuz the cans get pretty heavy pretty quickly.
So Amy, Frannie and Suzy are interested? Anyone else?
