A Memory Remains Just a Tiny Spark

Okay, so before I say anything else, I want to relay a couple of conversations:

Niamh: If there's a Great Britain, is there a Lesser Britain?
Megan: Yes. It's Ireland.

Gabby: Okay so yesterday I went to Great America with the Robotics team and there was this guy advertising a midway game that came up to us. His name was Chance. Anyway he told us, "If you climb the ladder and press the button, you'll see a happy banana!" And my friend wanted to say, "If I push your buttons, will I be able to see YOUR happy banana and unwrap it with my lips?"

and with that...

It was a lot of fun :D We acted crazy and obnoxious, and although there were underlying hints of sadness for various reasons, we didn't let them get the best of us and kept on trucking- for Megan.

We were all dorks, as usual...

...and spent half the dinner making weird faces at each other.

We made weird doodles on the placemats...

...and, when it was time to leave, we understood: this was not a goodbye party. This was definitely not a goodbye party. It was a 'fare well' party, it was a 'take care' party, it was 'until we meet again' party. But it was not a goodbye party. And that gave us hope.

I'll definitely miss Megan, but I truly, honestly hope that this will not be the end of our friendship.

And I'll still be waiting here when she comes back.

:] good luck, megan.

goodbye, parties, megan, life
