The price of silver

I ordered $400 worth of jewelry making supplies today. Lots of bronze and copper sheets, tubes, beads and such. Not so much silver.  All the silver sheets etc. were almost double of the prices in the catalog.  I could have spent the entire $400 dollars on silver ended up with only a handful.  It's a good thing people like my mixed metal look or I'd be out of business.
I think I'll be going to the thinnest gauge possible for silver sheet.  If  I work harden it enough it should o.k.  And, the earrings will be super light!
