last night i went to a vigil at robinson. i wasn't planning on going (i'm not so into vigils--i really can't deal with so much emotion and intensity in one place and prefer to be on my own), but i'm glad i went. it was incredibly moving and emotional and i cried for the first time about this last night. seeing the girls from the westfield dance team sobbing about reema, the girls who played basketball with erin, the people who ran with leslie...it hit me that this has affected so many people. yesterday, nearly everyone i know wore vt stuff, maroon, or orange. but not everyone did--and that actually made me angry. that people could have worn something (ribbon, made a shirt, borrowed a shirt--it isn't THAT hard to get a hold of a vt shirt around here) and didn't, made me feel like some people really don't recognize the gravity of the situation and the way that we all need to learn from these lessons, no matter how awful it is.

this video was shown, and was made by a guy at school, david holley. you have to watch it--it's what really hit me and made everyone so upset last night.
