Being at work while its stormy = NOT FUN!
So yeah ... work was scarey today. We had these HUGE storms come through tonight. I was at work. So me and Rachel are just watching it get darker and darker and before we know it, its black outside. Well its busy inside the store so we're working away on the registers and we notice that its getting windier and windier. Well the lights flicker. A few minutes later they flicker again this time its enough to reboot all the registers. Well now we're stuck waiting at least 5-10 minutes for them to boot and it just starts raining like crazy and then theres hail like no tomorrow. Well then the power goes out. So now im like uhh ok what do i do.. so i page for debi and was like uhh powers out i think we should lock the doors and get to the back cuz its unbelievably windy and hailing and all that good stuff. So she makes a page on the PA and we herd all the customers to the back of the store where its safest and wait out the severe part of the storm. Meanwhile, I hear someone say a tornado touched down in Sugar Grove and I immediately start freaking cuz thats where i live and I couldnt get a hold of my parents so i start imagining things and like 45 minutes later i finally get a hold of them and he starts telling me that theres trees down all over the place, someone lost the back of their fence, a flag pole is bent in half, one house is even bowed in... like from the pressure of the winds. We just lost a tree, and a couple shingles from our sun porch. We got lucky the tree didnt go through the window cuz it was fairly close to the house.
But yeah enough excitement for one day. Im going to bed now.
