Sick of Being Sick...
I'm sick for the second time in two weeks..... and these two instances are the only two times during the pregnancy I've been sick since we found out we were expecting in late August.
I'm pretty sure it's because of my work environment. Before the holidays I was working in an office with not even 50 people in it.... we didn't do group meetings and were only around each other to heat up lunches in the kitchen or consult our bosses. Multiple coworkers had H1N1 and I didn't get it (even without the vax...booyah!) Due to budget cuts with my agency, I got shipped off to the huge main office the week after New Years. There's 100+ people in the office and we're always up in each other's hair.... we have a weekly meeting where the entire staff from the building get crammed into one conference room.... and then a smaller meeting each week with our bosses and their other supervisees. Everyone is always sick there and not taking care of themselves.
Last week I had the stomach bug that's going around.... heinous. What a scary way to lose ten pounds in 24 hours. Thank God I was back to keeping stuff down before the midwife ordered me to the ER for IV meds and fluids. This morning I woke up with a sore throat. I stayed home from work because of the impending snow and I'm very glad I did because I'm already into the congested/stuffyso achey my skin hurts mess.... no fever though so I'm sure it's just the drivel that's being passed around the office (again.)
